WHO ARE WE?

We are the collectors of folklore. Patrons of stories. Lovers of the planet. Birch Books is a first of its kind, boutique self-publishing platform, which follows a “Print on Demand” model. This means we only begin the process of printing a book once an order is generated – It’s our little way of giving back to the planet!

We are in the quest to gather powerful stories for every age group, be it children’s books, YA tales or fiction for adults. We want to help bring budding authors to the fore – those who have something beautiful to pass onto every generation. Reading shapes humanity’s lives, and we want to leave behind a legacy of tales which can enrich and inspire people young and old, for years to come. At Birch Books, storytelling is sacred, so we’ve made our model a zero-inventory one for authors, where they retain rights to their words and don’t need to invest money in inventory to make their book dreams come to life.

Welcome to a whole new era in book publishing. It’s time to turn a new leaf.

Nishan Raj

The year is 9 Yugam and the Draas Empire now rules the human home system and its allied worlds. When Kae's father was killed in the slums of Kan-Siakh, Kae was thrown into a life of slavery under a sadistic master, a stinking Oreg by the name of Sashimi. With nothing much to live or hope for, all Kae cared about in the ten Old Earth years that he served the monster, was Prize, a beautiful Apsa. But when Kae stole a holo-projector from a group of Reptyds, something he had only thought to be a shiny trinket that he would use to bargain with his master, he suddenly finds himself entangled in a web of interstellar proportions that will fling him to the furthest corners of known space

A Diplomat’s Garden

Aftab Seth

The author's ancestry and upbringing are a blend of the plural strands of India's races, religions and culture . His education in three countries, reinforced this liberal, cosmopolitan and trusting heritage, which is the backdrop for the unfolding of a diplomat's life in eight different countries. The book recounts the history of dramatic, exciting, and dangerous events, which the author and his family witnessed and in which they were often active participants. Vivid portraits of Presidents, Prime Ministers, Emperors, Princes, musicians, dancers, poets, actors, business tycoons give this book a uniquely rare texture. This kaleidoscope of eminent leaders and humbler folk, is enriched and enlivened by a variety of stories and anecdotes which are amusing, poignant and at times inspirational . The author has tried to portray a life which has had the character of a luxuriant garden, with flowers of a myriad hues, stately trees and the scent of freshly mown grass. The pages of the book illuminate the wonder, the beauty, the joys and the grace of a magnificent garden. He celebrates his garden by counting the flowers that grow rather than by the leaves that fall.
